Prerequisite: Level II Intermediate Certification.
The final week continues to develop the advanced skills in Eurhythmics, Solfège, Piano Improvisation, and Plastique, but is primarily designed to prepare the student to qualify for the Level III Jaques-Dalcroze Certificate (Advanced) examinations. This level of certification is the first level toward the Jaques-Dalcroze License.
The qualifying examinations include Pedagogy, Solfège, Piano Improvisation, Eurhythmics, and Plastique. Candidates are given the opportunity to teach three forty-five-minute periods of which two of the lessons must receive a pass. Detailed preparation precedes, and constructive critical analysis follows, each lesson. Each lesson provides an opportunity for on-the-spot feedback and direction.
