Three Levels of Jaques-Dalcroze Certification

A New Program for Dalcroze Educators

Three levels of Jaques-Dalcroze Certification

Our three-level certification program conforms to the newest structure created by the Diplômes and Licentiates in the United States with the help and sponsorship of the Dalcroze Society of America. Even though each Diplôme Supèrieur is an independent representative of The Method Jaques-Dalcroze, this program represents an effort for the training in the USA to be more coordinated among the US training centers and more in line with Dalcroze teacher training systems worldwide.

Requirements for Entrance:

  • Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in music education or music performance.
  • Candidates must have at least two years of teaching experience (private studio or music classroom) prior to receiving Level I certification.
  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate piano proficiency at the junior year level as prescribed by the National Association of Schools of Music.
