The Institute provides authentic Jaques-Dalcroze teacher training for musicians and music educators. The school sits on the grounds of the 108 acres Monocacy Manor estate, bounded by Monocacy Creek, and nestled on the outskirts of Bethlehem, PA. The main teaching components of the Institute are the Summer Institute and the Dalcroze National Holidays program. We offer other supplemental program throughout the year. All programs provide hands-on experience of the whole Jaques-Dalcroze approach: Eurhythmics, Solfège, Improvisation, Plastique Animée, Pedagogy, and Philosophy. Together, these programs prepare the candidates for the new American three-tiered certification course and the licensing program. The certification curriculum divides into three levels; Level I - Basic Jaques-Dalcroze Certification, Level II Intermediate Jaques-Dalcroze Certification, and Level III, Advanced Jaques-Dalcroze Certificate. Level III certification will grant students entrance into the Jaques-Dalcroze License Program.
